If Only America Had a Daniel Hannan

Daniel Hannan, Parliament Member in the UK calls out Prime Minister Gordon Brown for doing exactly what President Obama is doing here in the US. Watch this short video to see an amazing speech.

Someone needs to step up to the plate with some intestinal fortitude and call the Democrats on their shenanigans. President Obama, Speaker Pelosi, and Harry Reid will lead this country into bankruptcy if we do nothing to stop them. As Hannan says in the video, Gordon Brown is the Devalued Prime Minister of a Devalued Nation. So to will America be if President Obama gets his wishes for climate change and health care legislation. It is well past time for Americans to stop trusting in their elected officials to do what is right. It is well past time for Americans to stop believing that Washington has your best interests in mind. It is well past time for someone somewhere to step up an say something about it.

I encourage you to read Glenn Beck's new book Common Sense as he seems to be one of the few who are calling it like it is. Neither party is above scrutiny in this fight. The Republicans and Democrats are equally at fault and equally to blame. The only question here is which is the worst of two evils. I have my own thoughts on that which you probably already know, but even still, the party I support is not necessarily living up to the expectations I have.

It is time someone somewhere came out and said enough is enough. To quote one of my favorite movies, The American President, "We have serious problems to solve, and we need serious people to solve them. And whatever your particular problem is, I promise you, (insert the Democrats and Republicans) Bob Rumson is not the least bit interested in solving it. He is interested in two things and two things only: making you afraid of it and telling you who's to blame for it. That, ladies and gentlemen, is how you win elections."

That really is what it is all about, career politicians doing whatever it takes to keep their jobs, their perks, and their small fiefdoms of power. Do yourselves a favor America, take a stand and vote the bums out.
