Are the Democrats nuts? We haven't even spent the first stimulus money yet and their idea to combat the still rising unemployment is to, wait for it, wait for it, just spend spend spend and spend some more. Seriously, why don't we just take the keys to the treasury and hand them over to China.
Under the new deal, the economy did not rebound, only WWII saved our economy then. Under the Great Society of Lyndon Johnson that carried into Nixon and Carter administrations the economy stagnated, unemployment and interest rates skyrocketed, and the global oil crisis basically shut us down.
Along comes Reagan who cuts taxes drastically and our economy rebounds. Then we go through a mini-recession or slump during George H.W. Bush and when Gingrich forced Clinton to balance the budget things turned around and we end up with a surplus. Then we slump again and George W. Bush cuts taxes and we rebound (although the war drove up huge deficits). Now President Obama and the Democratic majority wants to come along and try failed policy after failed policy spending money as if there is no end in sight.
The solution is simple ladies and gentleman: CUT TAXES (go to the fair tax perhaps?), CUT SPENDING, BALANCE THE BUDGET and watch the American people take off like gang busters creating more wealth and revenue than you can imagine.
