Letter To My Former NY Congressman

Rep. McHugh,

I realize my email may be of little significance to you as I no longer reside in your district. However, I still have many contacts and family in upstate NY and I will be lobbying hard with them to not vote for you in the next election cycle.

If you are asking yourself why I would be so worried about your representing a district I no longer live in, I tell you it is because of your vote on HR 2454.

I don't understand why you would even consider voting for such a boondoggle piece of legislation as the Waxman-Markey Bill. The bill will cost your constituents in their pocketbooks, in their jobs, in their taxes, and could bankrupt this country. And all for what exactly? A half a degrees difference in 100 years, maybe?

I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors, but I hope those endeavors don't include another term as the 23rd district's representative.

Sincerely,
Brian J Barnes
